Leading Hungarian band Nox were recently one of the headline acts in B Hall at the Budapest International Fair, where they were lit with Robe ColorSpot 575 AT fixtures for the first time.
Lighting was designed by the band's regular LD Zoltan Magony, one of the highest profile designers in the country, and equipment was supplied by one of the biggest Hungary's rental companies, Light Positive.
The Nox concert featured 12 ColorSpot 575s arranged along 2 overstage trusses. Although it was the first time that Magony had used Robe fixtures, he had heard plenty of good reports about the brand, and was keen to see the results.
Afterwards he commented, "The ColorSpot 575 ATs were great, really bright, fast movement, and the color changing system is also quick and efficient”. He was greatly impressed with their silence during movement as well …. in the slower moments of the set.
In fact the whole Robe experience was so good he declared, “I'm going to add the Robe AT Series fixtures to all my future international riders and specs.”
Nox continue touring in 2007 to promote their latest album Oromvolgy, which has already been a huge success. Mixing traditional Hungarian music with modern sounds, they have recorded 5 albums, but are probably best known in Europe for representing Hungary in the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. They were the first Hungarian act in the contest since 1998, and finished 12th.
